Cavity Stop Sock

Our cavity socks are high-performance cavity fire barriers designed to prevent the spread of flames and smoke within masonry and timber frame constructions. Manufactured from Knauf ECOSE® mineral wool with a Euroclass A1 fire rating, they provide up to 60 minutes fire integrity (30 minutes insulation) while also reducing flanking sound transmission within external and separating wall cavities.

Tested to BS EN 1366-4 and compliant with Approved Document B (Fire Safety) and Approved Document E (Sound), our cavity socks also meet Robust Detail Part E requirements for masonry, timber frame and separating floor applications.

Supplied in 1200mm lengths and suitable for a wide range of cavity widths, they provide a reliable compression fit, forming a continuous perimeter edge seal to maintain fire, acoustic and thermal performance.
